Crag features
The Grünten can be seen from all around the Sonthofen valley, rising over the town of Burgberg - with a small rock pyramid just below the radio tower topped peak.
The rock pyramid is approached from a parking place next to a cafe just wet of Burgberg. The final part of the approach requires care, it is easy scrambling but novices may struggle.
The best descent is towards the summit, easy wire protected scrambling with a descent path down to the right back to the start.
Approach notes
Park by the cafe to the west of Bergberg and cross the fields and follow the path upwards (signposted to the Bergberger Hörnle).
