An enjoyable variation with a bold new section of climbing, Follow Earl Boether to the ledge from here climb the face leftwards via a perfectly crafted finger rail (sky hooks) make crux moves above these & the LEDGE using a good sidehold allowing the thin RP crack and grooved arete to be gained, from here climb directly to the peg on Caesar then rightwards onto the protruding nose & final thin crack above.

CMoore 21 May Lead RP A great worthwhile addition to the crag. Good to get this climbed after cleaning it a few months before. Bold moves above the ledge.

Scott Quinn 20 May Lead RP FA torn between e4 5c & e5 6a but giving the potential for landing on the ledge I've aired on the side of caution to look after those hardy o/s'ers Despite being a variation it manges to climb like an independent route, better than earl or Caesar if you ask me. *****Actually a direct on Sassafras with a more independent finish should pribably be named sassafras direct (medibogdum already exists)
