An impressive line with some steady climbing on good holds that is difficult to protect. Climb to below the wall of thin cracks left of The Groove. Climb the cracks to the break in angle and make a difficult pull to gain the upper slab and easier climbing. © Rockfax

βeta: E1 5a seems better to me than slightly stingy HVS. FRCC's "protection is disappointing" comment is unjustified today: plenty of good pro, with a modern rack. Perhaps a 1987 rack didn't afford quite as many options. However, the top slab still involves an exciting, long padding runout that could result in a large fall.
