Climbs 2
Rocktype Limestone
Altitude 456m a.s.l
Faces SW
Steep limestone crag nested in a beautiful forest on the outskirts of Friesach. Most routes between 30-35m with a few shorter ones around 12m which also don't dissapoint. Generally not a lot of routes for beginers with 6b+ being the general "warm-up" grade here. Hardest route are up to 8a+. Style is mostly vertical face climbing on small holds with the longer routes being mildly overhanging near the top. A nice alternative to Weiße Wand or similar crags in the grade with much less crowds.
Tricky to navigate - much more info here: https://www.bergsteigen.com/touren/klettergarten/hasenstein/
To protect the bird breeding sites, climbing in the left part of the wall on the Hasenstein is prohibited from 01 January to 15 July!
