Climbs 9
Rocktype Ignimbrite
Altitude 350m a.s.l
Faces SW
Three climbing areas, some sadly neglected now. North Gully Wall has a clutch of modern VSs, while South Gully is now becoming overgrown. Between the two there is the Central Slabs area, which has the long Hind Crag Buttress, and a couple of excellent alternative starts.
Various approaches from Seathwaite. The latest FRCC guide to Borrowdale gives the best advice.

If VS is your grade and you're looking for good routes you haven't already done, head for the North Gully of Hind Crag. Two very good value routes in Soda Pop and The Borrowdale Stare. They're worth the walk up. Rog Wilko - 23/Jul/15 |
