Crag features

A good little wall tucked into the quarry on the left-hand side of the horseshoe bend when coming down the hill from Horseshoe Quarry. It has ease of access, dries very quickly and gets the sun until about 4pm.

Approach notes

After passing the turning for Horseshoe Quarry, when coming down the hill, a right-hand turn will be seen just before the horseshoe bend. Drive up this, best done when approaching from Horseshoe Quarry, and there a few parking places on the left. Walk down the lane, cross over the road and the crag is 100m down from the lane on the opposite side of the road.

I noticed lots of bolts on the wall left of the left hand wall - does anyone have any idea about what the routes are there? I didn't try any of them today, but I'd be curious for when I'm next over that way.

I'd say that the grades are fairly realistic here (voting does seem to confirm this) and they are certainly not inflated to massage anyone's ego or to put anyone in harms way. Gary's website is always worth a look so enjoy what is a good little crag whatever the grades might be!

As I previously posted which was deleted for some reason. Use Gary's guide for a more accurate grading. The 5 is definitely a 4 and 2 of the 6a's on here are definitely 5s. It makes no sense to inflate grades to massage egos and serves only to put people in harms way should they lead one of these and then try a climb of the actual grade based on their inflated success here.

Lovely little spot. Tucked away close to the road. If coming here use the grading on Gary's site as your guide as a couple of the 5s and a 4 have been upvoted to 6s and 5 on here respectively. They are not and such upvoting only serves to massage egos and potentially put people in harms way if they then try climbing actual climbs of the grade.
