Climbs 50
Rocktype Sandstone (hard)
Altitude 405m a.s.l
Faces S
A south facing escarpment in an open, tranquil setting with some free standing boulders below. Gets all the sun going, even in winter.
Slabs and burly traverses predominate. Some highballs (5m+) but generally good landings.
Problems are described clockwise with the escarpment sectors left to right and then the boulders.
From Lutzelbourg (small town just S of the A4 between Saarbrucken and Strasbourg) head south on the D98 and immediately take a left up the D98A towards Hultehouse.
The road winds up the hill to the village. Follow the main road through the village and then take an obscure right turn along the Route de Dabo. At the end of the tarmac there is a parking area to the R.
On foot follow the track west alongside a fenced area for 100m. Turn left and follow the path down hill, again alongside the fence, for 150m. The rock appears to the right. You're there.
