Fierce little south-facing crag which can be combined with a visit to Tow Scar although the nature of the climbing is very different. There are two buttresses and currently all the climbing is on the left-hand one around a deep cave in its centre. The climbs are strenuous and the rock is not above suspicion - it would be wise to stack up the pro. HISTORY The climbs were all climbed on May 7th, 2008 by Tom Phillips and Karl Lunt. A pair of battered sunglasses were found on top of the crag but there were no signs of previous traffic.
Drive north from Thornton-in-Lonsdale on the Dent road and park by a junction on the left (to the radio transmitter station). A gate allows access to the pasture and a gently rising walk of about 10 minutes reaches the crag which is in view all the way. While the crag itself is on the boundary of access land the approach described is not - be considerate.
