The crag is included in this database purely to inform climbers that there is no access to it. Routes have been climbed in the past and they are only listed in the UKC Routes database for the historical record and should not be climbed any more.
From Cromford, drive up the hill towards Black Rocks and turn right at a crossroads. Continue straight across the B5023 and drive past The Rising Sun pub, on the B5053 towards Ashbourne, then turn right just after the old railway bridge (High Peak Trail) and continue to Middleton Top parking. Walk west (left from the parking) along the High Peak Trail. Where you cross another track by a couple of gates, go right towards the quarry entrance.
The old parking along the track is now fenced off.
The landowner does not permit climbing on this site and all details are recorded to preserve the historical record. This site has been the subject of a major rockfall in the past when the back wall collapsed and whilst the front faces look OK, significant fissures behind them may make them seriously unstable. Following this large rockfall, a fence has been erected below the cliff to prevent public access.
