Crag features

At 2694 meters this brings the summit in as the highest point in the Accursed Alps that run along the border between Albania and Montenegro. There are routes from both sides of the border with red and white markers making clear the pathway. The last 300 meters are the most challenging on the north face due to the steepness and moderately composed exposure. The scrambling goes no harder than grade 1 untill a 12 meter section is ascended via a steel cable that assists the ascent close to the top.

Approach notes

From the Albanian side a north turn is taken from the track between Valbone and Theth to begin the upward hike following a stream gully, The well marked track hooks around the back of the mountain on the north side, facing Montenegro. The path will steepen with some scrambling and cable assistance to reach the summit.
