The Secret Garden (New Problem) © petegunn
A superb wall set in a beautiful setting.
Jopplety How itself is situated on Grange Fell 1.2 km from Watendlath Tarn.
There are several other short walls and aretes to warm up on plus some new additions further south.
Parking At Watendlath Tarn. National Trust P&D.
From the parking cross the beck that leaves the tarn and take the right-hand path heading uphill on the right of the plantation, as the path levels out head straight across flattish ground (boggy) towards Jopplety How. Hop over the style at the wall and follow a worn trod southwards. The superb Secret Garden is found on the rocky knoll (hidden from view on approach).
