A small wall of sport climbing. The south facing crag offers routes up to nine metres in length, catches plenty of sun and is very sheltered due to its low lying position. The base of the crag can become flooded during wintertime/early spring. The crag has suffered from neglect, but recent clean ups by local villagers and climbers has seen much improvement. Visiting climbers can help maintain the venue by removing any litter. Due to requests from the landowner, the routes mentioned have been protected by bolts and pegs. Belay stakes are situated approximately one metre back from the top of the crag.
Access is easy there is roadside parking at the top end of Stanhill village and a 2 minute walk brings you to a unsightly galvanized fence on the right, 2 sections of which have been removed. To the right of this opening is a ramp which provides access to both faces.
Some good bouldering additions to the top sports venue of Lancashire. JimHolmes69 - 01/Jun/17 |

Well done Pete, Alan and Andy. A good sport venue for Lancashire where you can while away an hour. All routes well bolted. JimHolmes69 - 17/Sep/16 |

Sport in Lancashire well to a degree. I really enjoy the few routes that have been bolted. Managed to tick everyone and do a diagonal route. Would recommend for anyone from the area who wants to have a go at some outdoor sport! jaredwaywell - 06/Jul/16 |

seems quite dirty and unused few lines look ok , pitty about water as the routes above it look more interesting! Chris Aston - 03/May/11 |
