Rocktype Gritstone
Altitude 221m a.s.l
The rocks are found in a tongue of woodland on the low ridge running on from the end of the private Lodge Barn Road. The rock is allegedly gritstone, but hidden in the trees, it tends to be green and often overgrown, with only a few worthwhile routes.
Walk down Lodge Barn Road for 300m until it ends at three gated private drives. A footpath on the left of the central drive leads on into the woods, following the right-hand side of a dry-stone wall. After 150m some rocks up on the ridge to the right give some bouldering. Continuing through the woods for about 300m (ignoring a stile on the left) to head to the overgrown buttresses.
Bin they today parking is as previous comment, it has all gone back to nature now way to overgrown GouldHarry - 05/Jul/16 |

went there today - bottled out of the solo of the Jug Jam. But the apprach is easy, however you can not park as per the Roaches guide. You need to go up the hill, past Lodge Barn Road about 50m there is a side road where you can park. Ian Archer - 23/Jul/09 |
