The climb is on the Kociol Kościelcowy buttress of the Koscielec mountain facing NNE next to the easier route "Kochańczyk". It is accessed from the frozen lake "Czarny Stan" and usually climbed in three pitches leading to the final optional fourth pitch. The fourth pitch has no technical difficulty. As with Kochańczyk, the descent from Kliś is commonly achieved by a single 50m abseil. Kliś and Kochańczyk routes join at the fourth pitch snow field.
