Altitude 1053m a.s.l
Highest peak in the little visited north western mountain area of Crete. Two tops, Koutsoulis and Kolympos are connected by a broad ridge.
Access via unsurfaced track heading north from the road between Louchi and Elos. Follow track to col and junction, right to false summit then distant trig point on Kolympos. Follow skyline back to main summit, route indistinct, some thorny bushes. Alternate route from initial junction, left from col, then diagonally right across slope to rock pinnacle, behind the right hand skyline is bulldozer track giving easy ascent on back of main peak.
