Park at the viewpoint car park. Follow directions from rockfax guidebook. Descent to the cliffs can be dangerous and is exposed. take care or take the long route round.

The vast majority of the bolts on this crag are completely rusted. At time of writing (May 2022) are four lines on the main slab which have useable bolts with grades from about 5 to 6b.

December 2021. 90% of the bolts on this crag are a long way past their best. Better to not waste your time going here. Also some locals told us that access is banned due to rare species.

No sign of any bird ban here. Plenty of other climbers. The old sign post on the way in - where you turn right, uphill, and start following the cairned path - has fallen down. At present the sign is propped on a large cairn…

Visited the area today (April '18) and a local park ranger explained the area is off-limits to climbers due to nesting birds and other protected species within the nature reserve - all year round. Just a heads up - a nice view point though!

Cars Norte bolts look trashed and I think they’re only 7 years old? The bolts at Gringo Star are also bad although we managed Pammi-A 6b+ and they didn’t seem as corroded

Climbed in April 2015: bolts on the "new" routes on Cara Norte are now the rustiest I've ever seen. Did not inspire confidence. Shame; the routes are superb.

Climbed here on 13 October 2010. Some bolts were rusty on the surface but still totally solid. The new routes on Cara Norte are superb. From the left - 7a, 6b, 5+ - all 3 star.

Visited in October 2010 - did not climb as deemed bolts and lower offs on climbs we were interested in (6bs up) too rusty to trust. Some new hangers on old bolts, some new route activity with lines of bolts not described in guidebook.
