Crag features

The cliff forms an arc, and offers orientations ranging from South-East to South-South-West. You will therefore be able to deal with the weather conditions (sun or wind). The first sectors are exposed to the Mistral, but if the local scourge is absent, they are suitable for winter climbing. The final two sectors pass into shade early and you can enjoy them in the afternoon in fine weather until the end if spring.

The climbing style here is varied: slabs, overhangs, clear cracks, or frankly slippery cracks.. and the climbing is rather physical. The limestone rock, with sandstone outcrops at the bottom, reveals a fossil: these marine mollusks lived during the Mesozoic era.

Finally, let’s not forget to mention the herd of wild goats that inhabit the area and take shelter from the elements under the overhangs, never failing to leave their scent.

Approach notes

From Ollioules, take the road RN8 (Gorges d'Ollioules). Shortly before Ste Anne d'Evenos, park near a large bakery (on the left) and a gas station (on the right). 150m after the bakery, enter the "Dupuy de Lome" wine estate (access authorised towards the "Gres de Ste Anne").

Go up the path along the sandstone by the left, up to the pass (cairn), then go up to the right towards the cliff.
