Starting 1m right of Fat Boys Crack, follow flake edges to a crucial gear slot. Increasingly intense moves above lead directly to the peg (a strenuous clip) and straight up to finish on the slab.

βeta: Gear slot at 4m takes a sideways offset RP5, and a red size 2 Dragonfly. I placed the RP from the E2 before down climbing. The Dragonfly blocks the handhold, so I placed it blindly from above after I'd got past it. The peg seems sound although it was placed in 1988! It's pretty tough to clip and you'd deck if you dropped it here. In retrospect I'd take some bouldering pads if I was to lead it again. | ||
