Rockfax Description
A series of cracks and grooves up the centre of the face passing the prominent tree early on. A good climb with some typical Lofoten terrain and some fine long crack pitches. Bring a double set of cams and a full set of wires.
1) N6+, 55m. The long grassy layback to a stance on the left.
2) N7-, 45m. A fixed piton with sling protects the crux. The pitch is much harder if this is missing - A3 aid was needed to place it.
3) N7-, 55m.
4) N7-, 30m.
5) N8-/A1, 60m. The crux pitch is free for 40m then requires some easy aid, though the whole thing may go free.
Descent - There are pegs for an abseil descent, or continue up and over the ridge and down the gully as for the other routes. © Rockfax
