Lime Kiln Quarry © Alan James
A relatively minor crag, which contains some worthwile mid grade sport routes on good rock. Rarely visited until 1997 when there was a local renaissance with a couple of new routes and some sensible re/retrobolting. The routes are now seeing a bit more traffic though some still need a good clean, most notably One Green Bottle.
Situated in the car park of the Lime Kiln Pub which is on the northern side of the village of Wirksworth at the junction between the B5036 and the B5023.The current access situation is unclear. The bottom of the crag has been landscaped and a floodlight had been bolted on the Amethyst Wall. Best ask at the pub.
