AKA Crab Isand, Rotherslade, Rams Tor Bays. Use this for any routes/bouldering between Rotherslade and Rams Tor.
For trad/sport, there are several purple belay stakes at the top of the routes starting with the step off the boulder and there are a couple of belay pegs above the south facing routes too.
🚗 Park at Langland Bay Car Park (https://maps.app.goo.gl/inxJ8Xs2g2qPMBe77) and follow the cliff path East (there is possibility to park in local streets, but best to avoid annoying the neighbours unless you plan to become a regular visitor here, just pay the car parking fee).
For Rotherslade/Beach/Stage:
You can't miss it really, just go down the stairs in front of the Surfside Cafe.
Sewerpipe and anything up until Crab Island:
Continue along the cliff path East, around 800m from the Langland car park - (Beginning of path: https://maps.app.goo.gl/XzHa2hmoFnYSXBFn9) - here there is a small path through the grass/bushes, follow this down until you reach a gulley and you're walking along an old pipe. From here it's mostly a case of scrambling across the rocks until you get to your desired crag.
For Crab Island area:
Easier route: https://maps.app.goo.gl/T3ep2J6mDNzj27LW8 - continue walking along the cliff path to the East until after the fence, there's a small path through the grass/weeds that leads out to a small scramble down to Crab Island, which will now be back to your West (looking back towards the way you came)—you will need to watch the tides here very carefully as the route gets cut off.
Harder/quicker way:Â https://maps.app.goo.gl/kJ78CYy7EtW2AHoL8 - Follow the path from Langland Car Park for around 1km. Go through a gap in the fence and walk down an eroded earthy slope (as of 2025 onwards this path is very erorded). From this path keep heading East across the rocks, taking care with some scrambling to reach the crag.
China Wall:
Same approach as the "easier" option for Crab Island, but turn left instead of right after exiting the path through the grass.
There are no comments from visitors to this crag. |
