Lindley Moor is an edge of short natural buttresses and a taller quarry.
The peg scarred cracks remain as a testament to the efforts of previous generations, not to mention the numbers painted at regular intervals along the base of the crag.
Convenient access and stunning vistas.
This crag lies in between junctions 23 and 24 (M62); follow A643 until you reach the Wappy Springs Inn, 50m south of the public house turn under the motorway bridge. Taking the first left, there is a car park for the cricket ground, follow the stone wall of the cricket ground to the end. It is an easy scramble to the foot of the rockface.
Super - if you are in the area worth a visit. PD - 20/Jun/15 |

Quick visit today to take a look at the place, too rainy to climb but will certainly be back over from Saddleworth side soon - looks to be some great problems. Would also be up for a crag clean up, lots of bottles lying around the place, cleared up what I could.. PD - 24/Jan/12 |

Some historical gaps have now been filled by the re-discovery of the June 1978 guidebook "T'Nearest Crag T'College" by Harrison, Bishop & White which details the old numbered routes in the quarry. Further details to follow! Alex Thompson - 01/Mar/10 |
