At UKC we are all climbers and we understand the strong urge to be outdoors as the weather is finally improving. Please proceed with caution though.
Easy angled rough rock, easily reached from Coniston, that provide a good start to a scrambling day.
Park in the village, up the lane to the north of the river towards the Coppermines Valley (some parking here). For the Buttress, at the end of the tarmac, pass over a cattle grid then head up the open fell to the base of a rock spur. Start above and to the left of a tree. For the boulder route, where the Tarmac ends go over a stole to the right and head diagonally over to the first slabs.
