Rockfax Description
7 pitches. This waterfall offers some interesting pitches and gives a long day out. No belays are indicated on the topo because plenty of options exist.Descent - Continue upwards when the ice ends and follow the road towards Vemork. This road is not cleared for snow but usually has got scooter tracks on it making it easier to follow. Follow the road west until you reach a water tower and two houses. Walk down to Vemork from here. © Rockfax

βeta: Road upwards is marked on Google maps and was easy to find but probably atleast 180m of steep bush wacking and deep snow. How ever the simple sounding "at the houses walk down to vemork" was not simple, from the houses follow the path right, this then curves left over the pipes (don't go straight on it's a dead end) this path is very hard to follow in snow and does not follow the path on the crag map on UKC so don't bother using it to help navigate? This path is also not sign posted to vemork at any point. Passing under the pipes was hilarious. | βeta?

βeta: "Continue upwards when the ice ends and follow the road towards Vemork", sounds easy doesn't it? We continued upwards for about an hour, through deep snow, without finding a track of any description. In the end we had to walk/abb off as the daylight ebbed away, fun. | βeta?
