Crag features
Impressive boulder high on the hill overlooking the Pen Y Gwryd hotel, between Pen Y Pass and Capel Curig. A good summer venue, which offers some striking steep lines. Take a couple of pads for the flat, rocky landing. The problems have v. high but easier finishes.
Approach notes
Park at the lay-bys next to Pen Y Gwryd, follow miner's track NE up the hill for approx 30mins, and then contour West, above a large split boulder to reach the rounded Mallory boulder.
