Small bouldering crag offering the highest quality rock in the area, and some of the highest quality font 7's+8's. A little lacking in the font 5, 6 range in comparison but some worthwhile climbs at these grades all the same.
All the info of climbs and topo can be found here: https://www.gleesbouldering.com/topo/meirother-kopf/ .
Parking is in the small hamlet of Steinbergerhof 50.425335, 7.183665. Parking is no longer at the Wehr sports field , as you will then have to go through the hunting area. Once parked up, walk straight down the main track and after a few minutes just before reaching an abandoned house cut a diagonal through the forest to the main sector 1- Basaltischer Freudentanz. DO NOT use the obvious path up to the crag immediately after the house as this disturbs the hunter. Sector 2- Open source is reached by first heading up to sector 1, getting above the boulders and then continuing along the ridge line east, past a large drop (quarry) and then another 5minutes along the top. Do not walk down the woods using the large path, as soon as you go past the house its hunting territory.
Out by 6pm, please respect this as there have been issues with the local hunter. Generally keep a low profile, no speakers, dogs, shouting etc
