Crag features
A very minor venue that hosts one good sized boulder of quality natural (unquarried) grit that is fairly course to the touch but not painfully so. The setting is very idylic anong the trees just below hights road outside of Midgley. The boulder offers a few worthwhile problems and is of a generous size with a good landing and the quality of the rock is solid. There is also two disused grit quarries in these woods.
Approach notes
Parking is probably best found closer to the west side midgley, the roads are very narrow so parking respectfully is key. walk along hights road away from midgley and enter a woodland via an old metal gate on your left. The path trends down past a small old quarry on your right, the boulder is just above the quarry. 1.5mins from gate
