4107m. Probably the shortest route in the Bernese Oberland and definitely the easiest way to bag a 4000er. A short glacier traverse brings you to the foot of the ridge where straightforward climbing takes you the full length of the ridge. Get the early train from the valley as this is a busy route. The final section can be corniced, so remain on the south side. This climb backs on the Eiger summit and the views are breathtaking.
