In a remote valley unfrequented by climbers, the Mont du Fût is distinguished by it's south eastern ridge, the Arête Blanche. This well defined ridge offers a varied outing that's well worth the effort of getting there. https://www.camptocamp.org/routes/54723/fr/mont-du-fut-arete-blanche
Parking is at La Sauce, above Saint Jean de Belleville. It's possibly to drive a little further on a rough track. From here a 2 hour walk in follows the river upstream before heading steeply uphill past the Chalet du Fût. Once a higher 4x4 track is reached, head left on an ill defined path to reach the base of the arete.
