Monte Gozzi is a magnificent red granite crag that stands out of the Val de Gravona by almost 500m. Worthy of the 50min walk-in as there are a huge number of single and multipitch routes.
The Carillon du Désespoir Sector is where the longest climbs are to be found, up to 250m and some involving very difficult climbing.
On the side of the Carillon, there is a gulley that splits it from another cliff; the Saga Corsica Sector. Here you can find some of the best single pitch routes on the island.
Facing the Saga is the Traitement de Choc Sector.
The Petit Gozzi Sector is found further to the left of the main areas and has a number of good routes for beginners.
October 2018 - Access has been closed from both entrances to the area by private land owner since July 2018. (Oct 2018).
October 2021 - There seems to be no issues with access now.
