Extensive 30-m tall crag of hard Sydney Basin sandstone facing northwest in the trees. Climbs are mostly sport climbs with the odd trad line thrown in. Sits in a natural bowl, so relatively sheltered from wind. Can get a bit hot in summer, but tends to stay cooler than Nowra due to the altitude.
Mittagong is an hours drive from Sydney and just under two from Canberra. At the end of Victoria Street, take the steep single-lane road up towards the Mount Alexandra lookout carpark. A 2WD will get you to the edge of the carpark, which can often be quite washed out. Walk past the gate then to the left down through a rock cutting, passing the obvious overhanging bouldering area on your right (Sico Wall). The start of the main crag is reached about one minute further along.
