Crag features
A big escarpment in the Central Grampians close to Halls Gap. This crag was first spotted from the top of Mt Rosea by Peter Jackson and Robert Bull in 1964 and contains many fantastic climbs at grade 20 and above. It is still worth a visit if you climb below this grade however. The crag contains sports and trad, single and multi pitch routes up to 84m length.
Approach notes
Find your way to the old Mt Rosea turntable camping ground (no longer in use as a campsite), this is a few hundred metres south of the sundial carpark turnoff and is close to the start of the walking track to Mt Rosea. From here turn off onto the dirt road called Stoney Creek Road. Follow this road for approximately 2km and take the first left, signposted 'The Mt Rosea Track'. Follow this road (slowly- it can be a bit bumpy) for just under 1km until you see a small parking area on the left hand side of the road. The walking track up to the cliff is across the road. Follow this all the way up to the crag being careful to avoid a couple of premature turnoffs.
