Mullach Buidhe has two peaks. The South which is the highest 829m forms an impressive prow dropping into Coire nan Fuaran. The North slightly lower at 819m has the scramble route Bonus running up from Glen Sannox side 70m long.
Close to Mullach Buidhe South summit on the Coire Lan slopes is the site of Arrans worst air crash. 22 airmen lost there lives.
This hill is normally traversed during the ridge walk from Cioch na h-Oighe.
Access to winter climbing routes on Coire nan Fuaran is best from Coire Lan footpath. From the col continue on the path to Mullach Buidhe. Access into the coire is best from just before the first main buttress is reached. Alternatively North of the South summit.
