80m, 2 pitches. Start righthand side of "Airmens arete" in a corner formed by a 50m block buttress running parallel to Airmens arete. Thread belay at base.
1. 60m. III 4. Climb the corner. Initially a stepped, corner crack that is quite strenuous. The upper corner relents in difficulty to good turf in the corner until the top and a open snow slope at 50m. There is a good size block here should you choose to belay at the corner top. Walk 10m across the slope, straight ahead to a obvious cleft filled with massive glacial boulders. Thread belay.
2. 20m. III 4. Move up the righthand side of the cleft before making a swing out between blocks. With difficulty move up between the blocks to enter a big, safe, enclosed chamber. The chamber is blocked above by a huge roof. Left hand side has a thrutchy looking off width that could be used if so desired. Easiest escape is a through route left again of the offwidth. May require passing bag through first. This leads onto the entrance blocks and the outer face. Finish straight up the face on snow filled grooves and flakes.
