At UKC we are all climbers and we understand the strong urge to be outdoors as the weather is finally improving. Please proceed with caution though.
Rocktype Sandstone (hard)
Altitude 612m a.s.l
The easier option than climbing at Lehn for those seeking more forgiving grades. One of the most popular crags, due to ease of access, variety and moderate well-protected routes. Neuhaus offers shade on hot days on its left wall and warm sunshine on its right wall.
|Great little crag, very well bolted. Fairly easy walk in, hidden in the forest (bring a mosquito spray if you don't want your ankles being chewed on). Mostly medium height routes, in shade and cool even on a hot day. Was bone dry even after 3 days of rain (though the tops of routes may get a bit wet in the heavy rain; also the right side is a lot more exposed and sunnier). Climbing mostly on flat sidepulls/slopey holds. Even the easy ones (5s,6as) can be overhanging and quite pumpy|
