βeta: The top out is almost completely undoable. Had to hack through gorse bushes for over 20 minutes then you pop out directly in someone’s garden. The home owner wasn’t best-pleased. I left 10m of static rope anchored to the fenceposts and a maillon so the route can currently be finished without crawling through spikes but I would strongly suggest the top of this has a bolted anchor to make it safe and prevent angering the locals more. There is precedent for this at Ratho (Pettifers Wall and Sedge Warbler are both trad lines with bolted anchors) so I think it’s the best choice here. | βeta? | |
