βeta: Towering over Kasteli bend and Odessey this sector has always caught my eye. Now a new easier route enables an ascent. 40 mins plod up scree and boulders to base of climb. New bolts literally 1m right of hanging descent rope. Simul climbed first two pitches to ledge with long access rope linking all other routes. The 5c (pitch 3) is trending up and left only 15m don’t get fooled going straight up ! The 6a (pitch4) is delicate but good holds. A long double pitch 5c & 5b is 45m to the base of the final vertical 6a pitch. 2hr 15mins Scramble traverse right to Col to follow next to cliff and finally down rope to base (25min + 40 mins back to car. | ||
