Rockfax Description
(The Sheep Fence Ridge) This route tackles the full height of the ridge all the way to one of the Sørfjellet summits. The lower pitches are mostly grade N3 and N4, but there is one harder pitch near the top up a 5m slab above a block, N5-.
Descent - From the top of the route, or the escape routes, traverse south across the hillside to reach the col at the top of Pedersenryggen (page 128), then descend the grass slopes on the other side of this to join the Piannokrakken descent. © Rockfax

βeta: This is a great route for adventure... just follow the best line. Good descision-making, risk assessment and some solid skills for the abseil/scramble decent are needed. All the best climbing is above half height, stay out of the grassy gully-lines, they can be pretty slippery. The crux move is a quick pull-over, build a good belay below! A slightly easier line can be followed afterwards by an airey move right to an easier groove. If you're just climbing the grade or are inexperienced then this route, with the descent, could take a long time. | ||
