Takes a direct line up the compelling spur that is the dominant feature of the massif. The starting point is unmistakable - walk up to the base of the spur and start climbing!
P1 provides an awkward technical move which leads in to the much more sustained difficulties of P2. Subsequent pitches provide varied and exciting climbing up the arete. Well protected using nuts, friends and slings, with a fair number of in situ pegs in the more difficult parts. Requires a short abseil near the top (good thread, in situ tat and maillons Sept 2011). A better protected variant to P5 is shown on the topo, although the direct line is better protected than the description suggests, with the run out section being little more than a steep scramble.
