The Pondorosa Boulder, Crookesmoor © Mutl3y
A fun, but small, artificial outdoor boulder produced by Bendcrete in 1998/9 (?) The surface aims to be a cross between gritstone and limestone. Good for a quick hit when you don't have time to head to the Peak.
All problems start from sitting in order to make the most of the boulders' limited stature. Getting off the ground tends to be the hardest move of the problems and they can all be climbed from standing at lower grades.
Park on Oxford Street and head into the park. The boulder is on the hill above the grass pitch.
Everything between the mono and finger crack left currently unclimbable due to several large dog poos. Somerset swede basher - 23/Aug/23 |
