βeta: Absolute sandbag of a route. More like HS/VS 5a. Couldn’t find an easy way down to the start so abseiled in 20m away, near the base of the grassy gully, then boulder hopped. The first move is without doubt the hardest move on a Severe I’ve ever come across, it’s got to be 5a if your’e short or lacking big arms, perhaps 4C if I’m being lenient. Protection is hard won and in places questionable, fortunately there is bomber gear on the two places that really need it. Great route, setting, views etc, but don’t even consider it until you have a ton of HS’s and some VS’s under your belt!
