βeta: 3 stars you say? I thought this rating was supposed to be for quality of the climb, rather than the pain level achieved whilst doing it. The long, steep, sweaty trek up a vague spikey path was bad enough but we figured sometimes you have to do these things for worthwhile routes… it was not worthwhile. P1 was almost enjoyable, sadly any joy bubbling under the surface was quelled every move by the horrendous sharpness of the holds ;L But we persevere, via a grim hanging belay, to P2 where sharpness reigned supreme and greenery dominated jugs and hid bolts. Imagine climbing an overhang but instead of holds you are pulling up on thousands of drawing pins, fun! Anyway, hard shit done, on to P3. Oh wait, turns out the previous sharp rock was just a warm-up for this. I wish I had had some tape in order to mummify my hands, or better yet, a knife to chop off my fingers and replace them with some bits of pain-free sea-sponge.. anything but the agony that ensued. 100% recommend, to anyone I dislike strongly | βeta? | |
