145m, 5 pitches. A truely delightful climb, perfect for a half day, especially when thunder storms are forecast for the afternoon.
The description can be found in Kettern in den Dolomiten III/IV Grad by Mauro Bernadi on page 92. The climb starts at a peg in the middle of the face at the high point of the col between the main face and a small mound in front of it. The pitch grades are IV,IV-,IV-,III+ and III. There is fixed protection at each stance and some pegs before any difficulties. Slings are useful extra protection in threads and spikes.
The crux is a small overhang on the first pitch which is turned with remarkable ease. Most of the rock is very good with the exception of the grade I ramp on the 3rd pitch which is a bit dirty.
From the top a small path leads to the main 441 path and a 20 minute stroll to the Averauhutte where a welcome drink or meal may be purchsed.
