Rockfax Description
A stunning direct line up the centre of The Shield. Start at a narrow corner right of the recess at the start of Grand Prix.
1) 5a, 13m. Climb the corner to a belay at the break.
2) 6c, 28m. Move up steeply to a peg and make some thin pulls to an easing and gear on the traverse of Top Gear. Continue direct to a small overlap and peg. Clip another peg on the left, before making a series of technical moves left and up to join and finish as for Top Gear. © Rockfax
