2 pitches. Starting just to the right of the lower ice fall, follow the snow bank up to the opening of this short, fairly easy gully. One small rock step, and a slight steepening in the last 10-20 metres make it an interesting outing with a novice, or just an alternative approach to the summit.
Probably climbed before, but we don't have a guide book to check, and it's not listed on UKC, so it's been named in honour of the jubilee this year.).......
The naming of climbs can be very subjective. If a climb is not named on the OS map or listed in a guide book then it would be worth checking local knowledge. But if a name can not be found for this route then yes "Jubilee Gully" would be very apropriate. I have most certainly scrambled up there in the past. Red Screes is a great place to visit with its easy access lots of scrambles plenty of free parking and a good pub...Big Hell.
