Crag features

Not a classic crag by any means and not worth travelling a long distance to, but it's in a nice quiet little valley and worth a visit.

There is a board at the base of the crag with a photo topo showing the routes and grades (Jan 2024), see the photos tab for images of this.

Recently re-bolted the equipment is good, but some sections of the crag suffer from poor rock quality. Routes are around 20m most are less.

The crag faces SE and so gets a lot of sun. In January the left hand end of the crag starts to get a bit of shade around 13:30, and the rest of the crag gets shade about 15:30

Approach notes

The small town of Rotova is accessed easily from the now motorway CV-70 which goes W from the Gandia area.

The pin on the UKC map is in the correct place. On Google maps if you zoom right in to this area the crag is marked and named as "zona escalade en el barran blanc de Rotova".

Narrow tarmac roads go through or round the town depending which exit you take from the motorway and to the end of a dirt track leading into the orange groves. There is room for about 3 cars to parkĀ  at the end of the track. (38.9304886, -0.2670538). There is a sign naming and pointing to the crag and a named PR footpath along baranc blanc. Walk along the track and follow the yellow and white PR markers up left, back right until an obvious access path to the crag on the left. Approximately 10 minutes from the parking.
