A long NE-SW trending mountain, aptly named Sarkofagen (The Sarcophagus) is a pronounced protrusion formed between Larsbreen and Longyearbreen, which provides and excellent viewpoint along the length of Longyeardalen.
Access is relatively easy by snowmobile, ski or foot and the summit can be reached from either Longyearbreen or Larsbreen.
