This mountain is west of the more famous Watzmann but has some good multi-pitch mountain routes and a klettergarten. It is easily reached from the Blue Ice Hut (about 2 hours from the road near Berchtesgarten, Ramsau and the Hintersee). There are at least 2 other klettergartens within 20 mins of the hut and a number of other rock climbs on the surrounding peaks.
Approach notes
Park between Ramsau and the Hintersee and take the well marked dirt road then path steeply up to the hut. 2 hrs with an intermediate stop if you need a beer on the way. The routes can be seen and reached within about 30 mins from the hut.
