An easier and safer approach than descents A or B is to descend the gully of brown rock between Liberator gully and Excalibur and do the traverse around Rocher Gal. There is a boulder at the top of the gully which sometimes has a rope to make things easier. This gulley is not mentioned in the Scramble guidebook. Alternatively, descend escape Q from the previous route. However, if you don't do descent A you have to do the grade IV- downclimb into the gulley below Rocher Gal (which is OK if the base of the downclimb is dry).
Tidally, the crux is the boulder hop at the end of the scramble and you should aim to get there for low water.
