Crag features
Situated on lamba ness north unst in an area of small stacks and pinnacles, heavily militarised bunkers - WWI & II - so good for bivvies.
Boulder field at the base of the crag is protected from the sea and usually dry. Crag dries quickly. Stakes needed for belays. Rock needs care as it is deformed by its proximity to a shear zone.
Access Banned
Went to climb here today (21/06/25). Now part of the space port. Refused access to the track in our vehicle (fair enough), but also told we couldn't walk to the crag! Probably illegal!!!
Worth someone local making enquires. But it didn't sound good.
Security on the gate not polite either :-(
